Some women tend to panic when they find they have a yeast infection in pregnancy, they need to treat it in a safe way for the baby and themselves and they want to prevent the baby from catching the yeast infection during birth as well.

It’s a tough situation to have to deal with, but if you find yourself here, there are things you can do which are safe:

1. Eat Yogurt

One way to deal with yeast infection in pregnancy is by using yogurt. Yogurt is full of healthy live bacterial cultures, these cultures emit hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct which is toxic to the yeast.

If you take in enough yogurt, you can help fight off the yeast from the inside out, just make sure that youre eating sugar free yogurt as sugar will only help feed the yeast.

2. Yogurt Applied To A Tampon

Another thing you can consider doing is using yogurt vaginally. It’s quite simple, just apply some yogurt to a tampon and then insert that for about 30-45 minutes.

What happens when you do this is the live bacterial cultures will begin to fight off the yeast in your body. If you do this every day for at least 2 weeks, you will notice an improvement.

3. Use Tea Tree Oil

This solution is similar to the previous one. What we’re going to do is use olive oil to coat a tampon then put a few drops of tea tree oil on over that.

When you have this, apply it for 30-45 minutes to let the tea tree oil do it’s thing in fighting off the yeast, it’s a powerful anti-fungal agent.

So if you have a yeast infection in pregnancy, these solutions should be of help to you, but they will not get rid of the problem for good. In order to really get this issue handled, you need to kill the yeast spores, this is something few treatments can do.
